I knew things were not going well for NBC, but now I'm  just hoping the network stays afloat long enough for season 2 of Southland to air!

Wouldn't it be great if the series was sold to a cable network???? Wonder if that is a realistic option.......

This could explain why there hasn't been any promotion of S/land season 2, maybe it's DOA, or maybe NBC does not plan to spend money they don't have on advertising, either way....trying to remain optimistic...still 3 three LONG weeks to go.

Just my personal link to the only Southland promo I have seen so far. And since I don't watch many NBC shows (especially with Leno on every freaking night at 10PM), and when I do watch NBC I NEVER see this commercial...so here's my link to the season 2 promo:

sounds like they plan to wrap up the crime part of the story faster and do more of an in depth job of showing the personal point of view of the story for season 2.

Ben is still helping out the Young Storytellers program...the date on this article is May 2009, but the pic is definitely not a recent one but posting this anyway because with Southland on hiatus, Ben sightings could become few and far between.

Well, I just watched tonight's episode of Southland (Two Gangs)....I really liked it, just confused on why Ben's mom did not appear. I tell you, this show keeps me guessing every week. Whether it's wondering if Ben and Cooper will be there and then about the talked about 7 minute scene about Cooper's sexuality that never aired....rumors that Ben would hook up with his therapist....now the mom. Maybe it's a plot to keep us in the dark....maybe it's just wild rumor....whatever it is, I'm totally hooked in spite of it all! Love the show, could tell just a bit that this episode was to air before Sally in the Alley that aired last week. (Russell and his wife getting along better than last week when he was already taking that writing class)....previews for next week look hot hot hot for Ben....can't wait to see the episode...but kind of bitter sweet as each episode aired brings us closer to the end....for now anyway....thank goodness I DVR'd them all...a wise investment indeed, hope it carries me thru the Ben-less months to come! 

two links to articles about NBC fall lineup. they are waiting until May 18 or 19 to announce actual timeslots and days for shows, but everything here sounds like Southland is a go for fall and not a mid-season replacement! I hope that's what it means, because I can barely wait for fall for new Southland episodes, so I KNOW I could never wait until January to see the Southland gang again! 
Hoping the 13 episodes gets extended to 26 for a full season! :)

Just a blog about Southland being renewed, but also pointing out the fact that the show was heavily promoting Ben and Officer Sherman's point of view as a rookie cop and now detectives getting too much airtime!
